The Difference between Мочь and Уметь

Difference between мочь and уметь can be very confusing. Let’s clarify the difference between these modal words.

Мочь – a physical ability to do smth.

Умѐть (ум – mind, intellect)– a skill\skills you’ve got through learning\training.

Я умею готовить, но сейчас не могу, потому что у меня урок.

Саша умеет ходить, но сейчас не может, потому что он сломал ногу.
